The cars came out to Lakeview, and the people came too.

The 22nd edition of the popular event celebrating all things automotive was a big success, says a founding member of the car club that organizes the show.

“From our standpoint, it was extremely successful. The car numbers were great, spectator count was great, the weather was great,” Gary Challice, a founding member of the

Autofest

“Everything just seemed to work exactly the way we wanted it to.”

One big highlight for Challice was an appearance from one of the monster trucks in the Bigfoot family.

“The highlight was Bigfoot. He did a little tour with the truck on the Sunday, so that was exciting,” he says. “He fired it up and drove up and down the road, which was kind of cool. It was a fun event.”

Now, the planning turns to making the 23rd edition even better than the 22nd.

“We’re going to take a couple weeks away from it, and then we’ll sit down and see what we can do to make it a little better next year”
