Artists needed for safety booklet

Looking to get your drawing skills seen by residents throughout the region? The Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region and The Oshawa Express are seeking entries from artists to help illustrate a new safety handbook for children.
Attention all artists.
The Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region, in partnership with The Oshawa Express, is holding a contest for artists to help illustrate a safety handbook for children.
The safety guide and colouring book will be used as a tool for parents to reinforce safety tips taught to their children after a visit to the Kids’ Safety Village. The handbook will focus on police, fire and bicycle safety.
An artist is needed to help illustrate the colouring portion of the guide.
The winning artist will receive full credit for their work on this published guide and can also receive credit towards their high school community service hours.
Please submit one sample of your work in PDF format to smcdowell@oshawaexpress.ca, or mail a sample drawing to The Oshawa Express, 774 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa, Ontario L1H 4K6. The deadline for contest entries is Feb. 12. Samples sent in will not be returned, so please send a photocopy.
