Alleged robber turns himself in to police
A man accused of an armed robbery has turned himself into police.
On Monday, Feb. 1, two suspects entered an apartment unit near Simcoe Street South and Quebec Street. Both wielding knives, the two suspects demanded the apartment’s tenant to hand over his drugs and cash.
Police say the two fled the scene with prescription medication and cash.
On Wednesday, Feb. 24, an Oshawa man contacted police to turn himself in after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
A 30-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon and unlawfully being in a dwelling house in connection with this incident.
