A legend in the community

At its latest meeting, city council took the opportunity to honour Mal Knocker with the Community Legend award. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 20, Knocker spent 35 years with the Oshawa Fire Department. He is now a dedicated member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #43 and an active member in the community, working with the Legion’s poppy fund and helping to organize Remembrance Day events.
