UOIT’s men’s hockey team captain has been invited to be part of Team Canada’s training camp for the upcoming FISU games.
A group of 40 players have been invited to attend the training camp to see who will be a part of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) hockey team and UOIT’s captain Cameron Yuill is one of them.
The players will participate in a four-day training camp in Caledon, where a team of 22 student-athletes will be selected to represent OUA, U Sports and Canada at the upcoming World University Games in Almaty, Kazakhstan from Jan. 25 to Feb. 10.
Yuill will be one of the more experienced players at training camp, having played in 121 OUA conference games in his career. He has scored 20 goals and 49 assists and is sixth in UOIT all-time scoring. Last season, he was named the winner of the UOIT men’s hockey leadership award.
