Woman stabbed
An Oshawa woman is recovering in hospital after being stabbed by a male relative over the weekend.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, at approximately 7 p.m., Durham police responded to a residence in the area of Wilson Road North and Greenhill Avenue in Oshawa for a stabbing. Officers located a 37-year-old woman who had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal dispute prior to the stabbing. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where she remains in stable condition.
A 29-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault, weapons dangerous, and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
