Traffic stop leads to seizure of drugs
After going through a traffic stop, a Toronto man is facing multiple charges after police found drugs in his car.
On Dec. 9, at approximately 10:45 p.m., police observed a vehicle that was used in a previous theft incident. The vehicle was in the area of Gibb Street and Stevenson Road in Oshawa.
Police investigated the driver and uncovered a quantity of drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia with an estimated street value of $35,000.
The Toronto man is charged with: fail to comply with probation order, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution, drive while under suspension, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing.
