Teen slashed outside school

A suspect has been arrested and is now facing charges in connection with an assault with a knife in the parking lot of Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School. The victim is recovering in hospital.
An Oshawa male is facing charges in connection with a stabbing outside of a Catholic school.
At approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, police were called to Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School for an armed person call. According to police, a 17-year-old male student came into the school with a stab wound on his side. The wound came following an altercation in the school’s driveway when a passenger in a blue van pulled alongside the victim as he was walking to school.
After police released an image of the suspect, he was spotted on a GO train in Whitby on Saturday, Nov. 26. Police arrested him at the Pickering GO station without incident.
A 21-year-old male of Simcoe Street North has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault and possession of a dangerous weapon in connection with this incident.
