Street-level robbery in Oshawa
Police are asking for help in identifying an armed suspect in a street-level robbery.
Police were called to the area of Kelly Avenue and Wilson Road in Oshawa on Friday, Oct. 23 around 6 a.m. following a street-level robbery.
The male victim was walking eastbound when an unknown suspect approached him. The suspect made a demand for his phone and punched the victim in the throat.
The suspect brandished a firearm, threatening the victim and then fled on foot without any property.
Officers searched the area with negative results.
The suspect is described as a white male, about six-feet tall with grey hair. He was wearing a black jacket, dark jeans, dark backpack and wore a black bandana over his face.
