Senior seriously injured after being hit by car
A man was seriously injured after being hit by a car in north Oshawa.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, Durham police were called to the corner of Beatrice Street East and Trowbridge Road after receiving a call about a pedestrian being hit by a car. According to police, a grey Ford Fusion being driven by a 68-year-old Oshawa woman was headed west on Beatrice when a 78-year-old male suddenly stepped into the path of her vehicle.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. The Ford’s driver was not injured and, according to police, is not expected to have any charges laid against her. Police also say road and weather conditions were favourable at the time of the incident.
