Safety Village colouring contest winners

Three-year-old Nathan Evans, left, of Whitby, and Lillian Bekkema, 6, of Oshawa were the lucky winners of a colouring contest held during the Easter Eggstraveganza at the Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region. The annual event was attended by about 1,200 people, which featured a visit by the RCMP on horseback, displays by the fire department and other local vendors, an Easter egg hunt, and many activities. The contest winners, including an absent Aimslie Burke, 8, of Ajax, each won a $25 gift certificate for Toys’ R Us.
