ROSS, Louise Catherine Tapper
ROSS, Louise Catherine Tapper
March 17, 1915 – October 16, 2017
Kind, active, loving, giving, creative and grateful are just some of the attributes that made up Louise’s personality throughout her 102+ years. Louise was the eldest of 7. As a young girl, Louise was active in many sports and loved the outdoors. This interest continued her whole life both in her participation in sports and in cheering on her favorite sport team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Louise attended Duke of Connaught P. S. and Eastern High School of Commerce. She worked at Toronto Optical until she married.
Louise met her future husband Don, the love of her life, at Christian Endeavour. They married in April 1939 and were a team for 59+ years. Together Louise and Don travelled the world. Louise and Don (1998) had 2 children Elaine & Glen (Sandy) and 2 grandchildren, Caralyn (2001) & Candace (Jordan), 2 great-children, Cole Ross & Eve Andrea. Louise was an accomplished seamstress, knitter and a needle work artist. Louise felt herself a lucky lady: to have been married to Don, lucky to have a loving family and lucky to have had good health.
