Ridgebacks go back-to-back in Ottawa

UOIT women’s soccer had a perfect weekend with two victories in as many days in the nation’s capital after picking up a 1-0 win over the Ottawa Gee-Gees.

After a 4-3 victory over the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, the Ridgebacks spent their Sunday afternoon across town playing against the Gee-Gees.

After more than an hour of neither team scoring, Taijah Henderson finally broke the ice in the 82nd minute as she scored her second goal of the year on a brilliant set up from Cassandra Sribny.

The Ridgebacks are back in action this Saturday, Sept. 2 versus Trent University at 1 p.m.
