Resident shot in apartment

Police are looking to identify three suspects after a male was shot.

At approximately 9 p.m. on Monday, April 4, police responded to an apartment unit in the area of Simcoe Street South and Elm Street, finding a man who had been shot in the abdomen. According to police, three male suspects had forced their way into a second floor apartment. Once inside, they grabbed one of the apartment’s four occupants and took him into another room, where he was shot.

Afterwards, the suspects fled the residence.

The victim, a 30-year-old male, was taken to a Toronto hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police say this was not a random incident.

The first suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s and approximately six feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark coat and a hat.

The second suspect is described as a white male in his 40s and approximately five feet and 11 inches tall with a heavy build. He has long hair in a ponytail, and was last seen wearing a grey sweat suit.

The third suspect is described as a white male in his 20s.
