Remembrance Day in Oshawa
Today, people across the country will take time to pay tribute and remember those who have fought and those who have died protecting our rights and freedoms.
The City of Oshawa and branches 43 and 637 of the Royal Canadian Legion will come together to host observances on Wednesday morning.
Starting at 10:25 a.m. at the R.S. McLaughlin Armouries, the Remembrance Day parade will start its route towards Memorial Park.
The route will take the parade west on Richmond Street, south on Centre Street and east on John Street before finishing at the Cenotaph.
The official ceremony is set to run from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Hundreds of residents are expected to attend the event. Parking can be found at city hall or along Metcalfe Street, which is set to be closed for the duration of the ceremony and parade.
