Police trying to return stolen items to rightful owners

The Durham Regional Police have released a series of images of stolen property, obtained during a search warrant on an Oshawa apartment, in the hopes of returning the items to their rightful owners.

The items, seized on June 27 from an apartment on Montrave Avenue in Oshawa are available for viewing on the DRPS Facebook page (@OfficialDRPS) and include bicycles, tools and bicycle parts.

If you believe you can identify an item shown, contact the officer in charge with the item number at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2741. Ensure you have documentation to support your claim, such as a police report number or insurance claim and quote the item number when making a claim for an item.

Police ask residents don’t report over Facebook as the site is not monitored at all times.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact Det. Sitaram of the Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2741.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
