Police seeking diamond ring thief

Durham police have released this image of a suspect wanted following the theft of two diamond rings from a store at the Oshawa Centre.
Durham police are attempting to identify a male suspect who stole two diamond rings from a jewelry store in the Oshawa Centre.
On Thursday, Nov. 17, officers from Central East Division responded to the Oshawa Centre for a theft that had just occurred. According to police, a male suspect entered Ben Moss Jewellers and asked to look at two diamond rings. He was given one to examine, but grabbed the second one from the employee and fled the store.
He was last seen riding a bicycle southbound from the mall.
The rings are valued at more than $2,000 each.
The suspect is described as male, white, 50 to 60 years old, approximately five and a half feet tall with a thin build and grey scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue and grey Dodge Ram hooded sweater, dark jeans and white and blue toque.
