Police record checks over the holidays
Normal operations resume in 2017
For people needing to get a police record check over the holiday season, Durham police are advising that they will be closed for some days over the break.
The Police Record Check and Processing Centre, located at regional headquarters in Whitby, will be closed Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and Jan. 2, in addition to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The centre will be open on Dec. 28 and 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Normal business operations will resume on Jan. 3, 2017.
Members of the public can still go to their local division to apply for a police record check, but are advised that they will not be processed until the next business day.
