Police on the hunt for suspect in prescription fraud case

The Durham Regional Police are looking to identify a female suspect involved in a number of prescription drug frauds in Oshawa and Toronto.

On May 9, 2017, officers were called to a pharmacy in Oshawa that suspected a female customer was attempting to fill a forged prescription for narcotics. She provided a prescription and a health card, claiming she was filling the prescription for a friend. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Investigators linked the female to several other similar incidents. It is believed that the suspect may have lived in Ottawa, but may also be in the Toronto area.

The suspect is described as female, Black, with long hair and wearing a black baseball hat and black jacket.
