Oshawa man facing voyeurism charges
An Oshawa man is facing several charges after a female saw someone held a cellphone under a washroom stall in Newcastle.
According to police, a female entered the washroom at the McDonalds on Regional Road 17 in Newcastle at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17. Later, she confronted a male after she noticed him recording her with a cellphone under the stall. The male fled the restaurant, but was followed by witnesses who were able to provide a licence plate number to police.
A male suspect was arrested June 29 in Lindsay after being spotted by police.
A 37-year-old male of Simcoe Street North in Oshawa has been charged with voyeurism, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving while disqualified and failure to comply with a probation order.
