Oshawa man charged for break-ins
An Oshawa man is facing several charges after a home in Port Hope and a business in Hamilton Township were broken into earlier this month.
Officers from the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to an alarm at a business on County Road 2 in Hamilton Township, north of Cobourg, on Oct. 5. According to police, an employee at the scene said that a break-in had occurred. A 55-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with two counts each of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, mischief over $5,000, three counts of failure to comply with recognizance and one count of mischief under $5,000 in connection with these incidents.
