New name for museum
Oshawa’s museum is getting a new name and a new logo.
With the museum’s 60th anniversary approaching, the museum’s board of directors decided to refresh the institution’s image, giving it the new name of the Oshawa Museum – shorter than the previous name, the Oshawa Community Museum.
“The board of directors is excited about the new name and feels it better reflects the scope of work we do at the museum,” states Laura Suchan, the museum’s executive director, in a news release.
“Oshawa Museum represents the future direction of the site, the focus on professionalism, excellence in our field and providing Oshawa and its residents with an engaging and informative look at our history.”
And with the new name comes a new logo designed by Oshawa’s own Chris Abbott.
