Man killed in stabbing at Simcoe and Bloor

A Scugog man has died following a stabbing in Oshawa.

Just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, police were called to a parking lot on Bloor Street, just west of Simcoe Street South. According to police, they found a man with life-threatening stab wounds, who was then taken to Lakeridge Health. The victim has since been transferred to a Toronto hospital.

The victim, identified by police as Braiden McClure, 21, of Scugog, has since died as a result of his injuries.

A male located in the area was initially detained, but released after further investigation. At this time, police have no information on any suspects.
