Looking back at the 40 years of Rotary
The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood will be putting out the red carpet for a pretty big celebration. In fact, it would be ruby red.
The community group is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary at The Ruby Affair, a celebration, dinner and roast for the Rotary chapter.
Currently scheduled for Sept. 22 at the Jubilee Pavilion, this roast-style format will give you the chance to hear stories after the four decades of history behind the club from members both current and from the group’s treasured history. Want to hear the funny story about how the gazebo was erected at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens? You will have to come on out to hear it.
The event will also feature a chance for one attendee to walk away with a real ruby! This is truly a great way to celebrate the ruby anniversary of one of the city’s top community groups.
Want to join in on the celebrations? Get in touch with Devon Biddle at (905) 576-2563, or via email at ljbiddle@sympatico.ca.
