Legionaires 17U elite are Montreal Fall Classic champs

It was a big weekend for the Oshawa Legionaires.

On Sept. 25, the 17U elite baseball club claimed the championship title at the Montreal Fall Classic with an 8-7 victory over the Montreal Warriors AAA from Southshore on their home turf.

Braden Babcock pitched for six innings, giving up only three earned runs while striking out six for his second win of the tournament. Ethan Duggan came on to pitch the seventh inning and registered the save in the final, including a strikeout for the final out.  Duggan also contributed a home run in the final to deep right field, his second to clear the fence at Bedard Parc

The Legionaires went 4-0-1 overall in the tournament
