Learn about tech in schools

technologyParents hoping to learn about the type of technology and tools their children are immersed in at school are in luck.

The Durham District School Board will be holding its inaugural Technology for Learning and Life Expo later this month. The expo will give people the opportunity to learn more about the devices and applications being used by students and teachers in the classroom.

There will be a keynote address by Dr. Todd Cunningham, a clinical and school psychologist from the University of Toronto who has done research on the use of technology by children with learning disabilities.

The expo takes places from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the DDSB Education Centre at 400 Taunton Rd. in Whitby on Feb. 27.
