Knowing the dangers of fraud

The Durham Regional Police Service is partnering with Oshawa Public Libraries and National Money Mart to host a Scam Alert presentation at the McLaughlin Branch of the OPL on Nov. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. This free presentation will address many of the dangers of fraud in the region.

Fraud is a serious crime and can happen to anyone. During the Scam Alert presentation, DRPS and National Money Mart representatives will present information on current scams, how technology increases risk, and how residents can protect themselves against fraud.
