Have tolerance for the beliefs of others
Dear Editor,
I have not written a letter for some time, but I cannot standby any longer reading Mr. Russ Horner’s letters and his views on government, especially that in the U.S. I do not agree with anything that has come out of Mr. Horner’s pen!! Mark Zuckerberg is allowed to do just about anything that is legal because he is the CEO of Facebook. That is what gives him the right.
He can take strong suggestions from governments but they have no power to put into effect their suggestions. In fact, because Mr. Zuckerberg has a controlling interest in Facebook, he does not even have to listen to his own board of directors. It probably would be unwise to do so but that is up to him.
And Mr. Horner it is not “akin” to anything. Since when are you the entire alt-right?
Our new Premier Mr. Ford has stated that a “buck-a-beer” will not cost the Canadian taxpayer one red cent. You are allowed to believe him all you want, but that still will not make it so.
It has been proven that it will cost approximately $100,000 per year. Where do you think that money will come from! Because of the Wynne government, we were not left a safety net of cash.
As for everything else that Mr. Ford has planned for this province, I do not know.
What I do know is that we will once again have a government like Mike Harris and we all know what that means.
Mr. Horner I do not like your beliefs but that does not begrudge you saying that. I have the utmost respect for the beliefs of anyone, but you Mr. Horner seem to have a bias to the right and absolutely nothing appears to sway you.
I have a sister that is conservative and had she been able to she would have voted for Trump in the States. We have a very good relationship and we try to avoid talking politics or anything controversial when we are around each other or anyone else.
Mr. Horner you can say exactly what you want but I was very enraged over the fact that you appear to have no compassion whatsoever for the beliefs of others.
