Great local reporting needed across the region

Dear Editor,

Just wanted to thank your newspaper for providing in-depth local news. As a resident of Whitby, we have a true void in local print reporting having only a Metroland vehicle in the market which is basically a flyer distributor.

Perhaps the future will see an expansion into the Whitby market although  I do realize the print industry is facing challenging times.

In the interim, keep up the great work.
