The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood is holding its Giant Rotary Yard Sale on Saturday morning, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The sale will be at 687 Masson St in Oshawa, near the intersection of Rossland Road and Simcoe Street North.
“Many items have been collected by our Rotary Club Members that will be available at great prices at the Giant Rotary Yard Sale. There will be electronics, bicycles, golf equipment, many indoor and outdoor household items and many more treasures,” says Mike McLaren, the president of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood.
Anyone wishing to donate items can do so by calling Laura at (905) 213-4973 to make arrangements to either drop off the items or have them picked up.
Proceeds obtained for the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood will be used to support the organization and its work here in Oshawa, and throughout the world.
The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood, now in its 40th year, has assisted many organizations in the city, which include Lakeridge Health, the R.S.McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre, many Oshawa senior citizens services, organizations that assist handicapped adults, the Grandview Children’s Centre, UOIT, Durham College, YMCA, and the Kids’ Safety Village of Durham Region, just to name a few.
Rotarians are neighbours, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world. With differing occupations, cultures, and countries, Rotarians are given a unique perspective. Their shared passion for service helps Rotarians accomplish the remarkable.
