Get ready to Hit, Pitch and Run
Young baseballers hoping to one day play on a major league field may be able to earn their chance a little early.
When Baseball Oshawa hosts the Hit, Pitch and Run local event, as part of the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition, finalists from the local event can move on to a regional competition where, if successful, they could move on to the finals hosted at the Roger’s Centre.
The event has seen two Baseball Oshawa players advance to the finals with Connor May doing it in 2011 and Braden Babcock doing in in 2014.
The event gets underway at 9:30 a.m. at Durham College Field.
