Joe Manchurek, 19, was drafted by the Oshawa Generals in the 4th round of the 2012 OHL draft. In his draft year with the Sun County Panthers he scored 57 points (28-29-57) in 45 games. The next season he played primarily with the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL. In the five games played with the Generals that season, he scored two points.
The 2013-2014 season was when Manchurek made the full-time jump to the Generals roster. His first full season saw him scored 18 points in 64 games. Last season with the Memorial Cup Champions, Manchurek filled a vital checking role with the team. He also set a new career-high in assists (19) and points (24).
So far in 2015-2016, Manchurek is leading the charge for the Generals. In just 34 games, he has shattered his career-high in goals with 15 and already has 29 points on the season.
