Fonda, butt out
Dear Editor,
I never thought that I would be defending anything Trudeau has done, as so far he has just spent taxpayers’ money like a drunken sailor – no offence to drunken sailors spending their own hard earned money as they see fit.
But in this case, I am with him all the way when we are subjected to far left Hollywood types like Hanoi Jane Fonda flying into our country to chastise our elected leader for approving a couple of much needed pipeline projects! When is her next trip to Venezuela, or Saudi Arabia, Iran, or Mexico to tell them to curtail their energy projects? We all know that will never happen.
It is much easier to pile on Canada and try to convince us to commit suicide by killing our energy projects and all the jobs and tax revenue and royalties that goes with that. She does this while flying around in an aviation gas-fueled helicopter, after deplaning from a business jet probably! Her left wing presidential buddy, Obama, has bragged in the past that he has overseen enough pipeline projects in the USA during his tenure to encircle the Earth!
I don’t recall her and her Hollywood pals demanding that he cease and desist all that drilling and fracking in the good old USA!
Hell no, just keep on trying to kill Canadian energy programs, and continue as we are, just being the poor cousin that is forced to have only one customer, the USA of course, that prevents us from receiving the global price per barrel that every other country can demand. About $15 to $20 more per barrel! Billions more per year!
Even Trudeau and his puppet master, Gerry Butts, that hates oil and gas, realize that we need the revenue from our energy sources to keep our country going strong until the day comes, if ever, that we can fully depend on renewables for everything that we use in our daily lives. We cannot be dictated to by far left foreign celebrities that demand that we do as they say, but not as they do!
