The History of Human Rights

The History of Human Rights – The belief that everyone is entitled to certain human rights is fairly new, though its roots lie in earlier traditions and documents of many cultures. In recognition of Human Rights Month, Dr. Natalie Oman, Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at Ontario Tech University, will explore the history of human rights. Oman will be speaking at the McLaughlin Branch of the Oshawa Public Libraries, 65 Bagot St., from 6 to 7 p.m. It is free to attend.
