Date turns into robbery
Police are seeking to identify three suspects after an Oshawa man, who thought he was meeting someone for a date, was robbed at knifepoint in Brantford.
According to Brantford police, police attended a motel on Colborne Street East on the evening of Sunday, May 8 for a robbery. The victim said he had traveled from Oshawa to Brantford to meet a woman he had met online. Once inside the motel room, he was greeted by the female before being confronted by two men hiding in the bathroom, one of whom was holding a gun and the other a knife.
After taking the victim’s jewelry and cellphone, the three suspects left the room. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
