Carbon tax will change nothing

Dear Editor,

I wish we had a Brad Wall type running Ontario, or better yet, Canada even, instead of what we are stuck with for now!

The people of Saskatchewan should be proud of the leader they have in Mr. Wall. He has the courage and common sense not to sign on to a flawed document put forward by Trudeau’s puppet master Gerry Butts that will raise taxes across the country on just about everything thing we need to purchase.

A tax on carbon will only affect us negatively and do nothing to change the climate. This tax will kill more jobs in Canada as we become more and more uncompetitive with our export prices.

All the problems this country faces as far as people losing their jobs, and hydro bills going through the roof in some areas, plus the problems related to healthcare, and all the feds harp on is climate change over and over and over!

It is as if nothing else matters, only this pie in the sky program that will change nothing, only leave us poorer still! They are salivating, thinking of all the billions they will take from us in the form of a new tax to give to their wealthy supporters.

Many low income folks struggle to make ends meet, and they keep getting kicked in the teeth by the powers that be with new taxes, outrageous hydro bills, and even subsidizing millionaires to help them purchase high-priced electric cars, while they sometimes are unable to keep their old cars running to get them to work if they live in rural areas and have no other transportation options to pay these taxes! Now they will have to cough up even more for fuel to heat their homes and gas up the old car thanks to this nonsense con game called a price on carbon. Call it what it is: another tax, period|
