Both of Oshawa’s beaches open

After two weeks on the posted list, Lakeview Beach East is once again safe to swim in.

According to a news release from the region’s health department, that beach, along with Lakeview Beach West, are both safe to swim in after weekly E. coli testing found the waters were within safe limits.

Beaches in Durham Region are posted as being unsafe to swim in if tests find 100 E. coli per 100 mL of water.

All but one of Durham’s beaches – Brock’s Beaverton Beach South – were found to be safe to swim at.
