Arrest made in August robbery
Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an August bank robbery.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, police responded to the TD Bank on Ritson Road North, just south of Taunton Road. According to police, a male suspect entered the bank with a knife and demanded cash. After receiving a quantity of cash, the suspect fled on foot.
On Tuesday, Sept. 13, a suspect was arrested in the area of Dundas Street East and Kendalwood Road in Whitby.
A 19-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon to commit an offence in connection with this incident.
