A look into Oshawa’s past

Union Cemetery is the final resting place of some of the city’s most influential residents, and the Oshawa Museum wants to dive deeper into their stories.

Scenes from the Cemetery returns for its third year on Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9.

Residents can take a tour through Union Cemetery as actors bring to life the stories behind the names etched on the tombstones, portraying people from the city’s past.

The collaborative event is presented by the Oshawa Museum and Oshawa Little Theatre.

Tours begin every 20 minutes between 2 and 3 p.m. on each day and last approximately one-and-a-half hours in length.

Tickets are $20 per person, and as the number of tour spots is limited, interested individuals are urged to purchase tickets in advance.

Tickets can be purchased at the Oshawa Museum (Guy House) or at scenesfromthecemetery.wordpress.com
