10k following the city

The City of Oshawa has passed a major social media milestone.

The city’s Twitter account, which posts information on city news, events, programs and more, has passed the 10,000 follower mark.

“Kudos to the community for connecting and engaging with us on social media and helping us reach 10,000 Twitter followers,” states Councillor Amy McQuaid-England, chair of the corporate services committee, in a news release.

“It shows our municipality is using social media to connect and inform our residents every single day and that it is making a difference.”
