Trio robs, assaults Oshawa male
An Oshawa man is recovering in hospital after being robbed and assaulted by three males.
Police responded to the area of Centre Street South and Gibb Street at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 for an assault that had just occurred. According to police, an argument between two males got physical, with one assaulting the other and knocking him to the ground. While on the ground, the suspect stomped the victim’s head before being joined by two other male suspects, who continued the assault. The suspects robbed the victim of his personal belongings after he lost consciousness.
The victim, a 33-year-old Oshawa male, was taken to hospital for serious, life-threatening injuries. His condition his since improved and continues to recover.
One of the suspects was arrested days later on May 9, but the other two are still unidentified.
A 23-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, robbery with violence, obstructing justice and two counts of uttering threats.
The other two suspects are described as white males in their early 20s.
