Police seize more than $18,000 in drugs

An Oshawa man is facing multiple charges after police seized more than $18,000 in drugs.

On Aug. 21, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers of the Durham Gun and Gang Unit arrested a suspect in his vehicle near Baseline Road and Liberty Street in Bowmanville.

Officers seized a small quantity of crystal meth concealed inside his shoe and also a small quantity of fentanyl hidden in the vehicle.

Another search warrant was executed at the man’s residence on Bloor Street East and additional drugs were located.

In total, officers seized approximately $2,300 in cocaine, $975 in Fentanyl and more than $14,800 in crystal meth.

The 36-year-old man has been charged with five counts of  possession for the purpose of trafficking.
