Passed away peacefully at ThorntonView, in Oshawa, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, eleven days shy of his 97th birthday surrounded by his children. Teodor was born February 15, 1920, in Potok, Rawa-Ruska, Galiz, Poland, one of 9 children. He emigrated from war-torn Europe in September, 1950, to begin a new chapter of his life in Canada. He worked in the lumber industry and on the farms in New Brunswick before making his way to Oshawa. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. Beloved husband for over 60 years of the late Helen Annie (nee Oattes). Loving father of the late Robert Owen (Marlene), Gail Madden (late Hugh), Ted (Margo) Olenycz, Kathy (David) Landry, Arlene (Jim) Reed and Janice Holt (late John). Beloved grandpa to Steven (Christine) Wilkinson, Melissa Madden, Taylor Olenycz, Joshua and Erika Landry, Alex, Matthew, and the late Erin Reed, Laurie (Julian) Stein, Mark (Tammy) Owen, Michael (Ottilia) Owen. Great grandpa to Riley and Reese Wilkinson, Kate and Mia Owen and Nathan Stein. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and family friends.
