Man seriously injured after he was pushed down flight of stairs

An Oshawa man is in serious condition after being pushed down a flight of stairs.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, police were called to a home in the area of Quebec Street and Park Road South in Oshawa to assist an ambulance. According to police, they were initially told that the victim, a 55-year-old male, had fallen down a flight of stairs. However, a subsequent investigation later determined that the man had been pushed after an argument.

The victim has been placed in the intensive care unit, and remains in hospital with serious injuries.

A 29-year-old male of Bristol Crescent in Oshawa has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of breaching probation in connection with this incident.
