Man found beaten near train tracks

A man is fighting serious injuries after being beaten and left by a set of train tracks in Oshawa.

At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, a man was found uncouncious and covered in blood by two residents walking along a path near the train tracks near Centre Street and Avenue Street.

Police helicopter Air1 assisted officers and paramedics to the exact location. Once found, the victim was brought to Lakeridge Health before being transferred to a Toronto-area trauma hospital for serious and life-threatening injuries.

A 25-year-old Oshawa male has since turned himself in and is facing charges in connection with this incident.
