Legionaires defeated in Baltimore

The Oshawa Legionaires were defeated over the weekend, playing in the prestigious Cal Ripken U18 Breakout at the Lumber tournament in Baltimore. The New Jersey Saints shutout our Canucks 10-0, followed by a 14-1 defeat administrated by the GGB Patriots. The losing streak continued onto Sunday.
Against New Jersey, Oshawa batsmen Mike Kosciesza and Jamie May supplied the only hits, while Wesley Paquette was tagged with the defeat. He allowed eight earned runs covering three innings. Too many base on balls led to the Legionaires’ second setback, employing a quartet of pitchers who allowed 20 walks over seven innings. Oshawa collected six hits supplied by Travis Owens, Eric Morrow, Josh McCulloch, Keenan Terwillegar, Mitch Cook and Jamie May. Oshawa's best showing was a 9-4 defeat versus Dig In Baseball in game three.

Oshawa scored only five runs, allowed 33 in the Central division play.
