Valentine’s Day robbery

 

An Oshawa male is facing several charges after a convenience store was robbed over the weekend.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 14, police responded to Bob’s Grocery Variety on Bloor Street West for a robbery that had just taken place. According to police, a male suspect with a knife robbed the clerk of cash and lottery tickets before fleeing the store on foot.

Patrol officers spotted the suspect near an apartment building on Glen Street and arrested him without incident.

There were no physical injuries reported during the robbery.

A 36-year-old male of Glen Street has been charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent, possession of a dangerous weapon and failure to comply with a probation order.
