Two separate stabbings, hours apart, send pair to hospital

Police are investigating after two separate stabbings in Oshawa late Friday night sent two males to hospital.

The first occurred Friday, July 14, 2017, at approximately 10:30 p.m., when officers were called to the Nonquon Road area in Oshawa for a disturbance. A 20-year-old male was located with a stab wound and taken to hospital where he’s expected to recover.

There is no suspect information at this time. Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

A short time later, just before midnight, officers were called to Arena Street in Oshawa for reports of a male being stabbed and a second male fleeing the area. Officers located a 27-year-old male with stab wounds and he was transported to hospital. The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in serious condition.  Witnesses indicated a second male fled northbound along a bike path toward Adelaide Street. K-9 officers and Tactical members searched the area with negative results. They would like to speak with this male or anyone with information.
