Two Oshawa residents charged for drugs, guns
Durham police have charged five people, including two Oshawa residents, in relation to a drugs and gun investigation.
Police first arrested a male on Aug 19, with the accused attempting to flee police by hitting several cruisers with his own vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested without injuries to either him or the officers in the cruisers that were hit.
A subsequent investigation lead to a search warrant being executed at the arrested male’s residence, with police seizing approximately $18,000 in cash.
Another search warrant was executed at a residence on Simcoe Street North, turning up a sawed off shotgun.
A 22-year-old male of Simcoe Street North has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of the proceeds of crime, dangerous driving and failure to comply with a recognizance.
A 51-year-old female of Sorrento Avenue in Oshawa has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and marijuana).
