Several Oshawa Generals got nods from other Eastern Conference coaches in the 2016 OHL Coaches Poll.

Riley Still tied for third in the Most Improved Player category with Nic Hague of the Mississauga Steelheads. Mitch Vande Sompel found himself in a three-way tie for second place in the Best Skater category, but held down his post in second place for Best Offensive Defenseman, a position he held in the 2014/2015 season.

Anthony Cirelli was also recognized in the Best Defensive Forward category, tied for third place with Cordell James of the Barrie Colts.

Every year, OHL coaches are given the opportunity to name their top three players on other teams within their conference.

In the Eastern Conference, the Barrie Colts saw the most recognition with eight players being named in different categories, led by Calgary Flames prospect Andrew Mangiapane and OHL top-scorer Kevin Labanc.

In the West, the Erie Otters led the way with seven players in different categories, including Dylan Strome for Smartest Player, Best in Faceoffs, and Best Shootout Shooter.

All 20 clubs were represented in at least one category throughout the poll.
